Why Remove Bird Nests?

A picture of a bird nest

Bird nest problems are not uncommon; in fact, birds building nests in houses are a major issue for homeowners.  Nests are structures that can be a fire hazard and a source of birds mites and insect parasites that can affect people.

While the direct transmission of disease from birds to humans is uncommon, life-threatening diseases can be contracted from their droppings.

Is this practice cruel or inhumane?

  • No. Human encroachment on natural nesting grounds often confuses birds into thinking house vents are good places to nest.  Blocking birds from house vents prevents them from becoming a nuisance

  • De Lint A Vent will never harm a bird if it is nesting in a house vent.  We only remove uninhabited nests. Should we find a nest with baby birds in it, we will contact animal control specialists.  >>Schedule a Bird Nest Removal
